Hi, I’m Gina!

I’m so glad you’re here. Welcome to Kaiwylde Botanica, my newest creation in all things that I love - natural healing, meditation, beach and nature. My connection to nature and the earth has been a huge part of my life since I was a child. The water especially has a profound place in my heart that speaks to my soul. 

I feel sure to some degree it ties to a profound near death experience I had at five years old. I was at breach inlet Isle of Palms, with my mother and cousin crabbing. In an instant I was swept under the water and almost drowned. I still remember it to this day! Through that experience with the ocean, I developed a respect, a deep understanding and bond that has stayed with me. This love and respect for the water as a great teacher in my life.

I’ve always been drawn to the water. Especially the ocean. The ebb and flow of the tides is akin to the ebb and flow of our breath. The gentle and sometimes forceful rolling of the waves can also be a metaphor for life. No matter which aspect, I strive to live by the teaching of Lao Tzu “be like water.” 

So why Kaiwylde, why now? I would describe it as a purging and cleansing process of what is old, stagnant and is no longer serving me. A birthing of sorts, similar to the lotus flower blooming from the mud.   It’s a refinement of knowing myself and what I truly love and want to share with the world.

I love slow mornings with a hot cup of tea, a devotional and the rays of a new sun to start my day. As I tune into nature, the wildlife, trees, insects, and birds always have some wisdom to share. So it will also be a place where I share these epiphanies. Kaiwylde is about our connection ourselves, as well as to the salt and sea, the wildlife, forest and mountains. 

With our handcrafted holistic products from soaps, herbal balms, candles, and oils to the uniquely curated gifts from other makers and brands. I want to create a space for self love, nurturing, healing, meditation and an appreciation for all things slow, honored and adored. I endeavor to create more products, paint, design and inspire others to do the same.

Thank you for joining me on this journey as it unfolds in creating a community of things we love! Like walks on the beach, sunsets, and a slow deep breath. Your support of my dream fuels my vision to create new things and experiences for us all to share. I can’t do it without you!
